 🍦 Free Spots Where Kids Eat Free in Philly


**Craft Hall (Northern Liberties):** Kids under 12 eat completely free on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 PM to 7 PM with an adult meal. Plus, they have an awesome indoor playground built right into the restaurant so you can actually sit down and breathe!

**A獨O (Multiple Locations):** Keep an eye out for local neighborhood corner spots and community health centers offering free summer breakfast and lunch programs for city youth all summer long.

 

 ☀️ Free Family Activities & Splash Zones

 **Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse (Fairmount Park):** A massive, 6.5-acre playground completely dedicated to children. It features a historic 3-story playhouse and a giant wooden slide that kids have loved for generations. Entry is 100% free!

 **The Franklin Institute Community Nights:** On select Wednesday evenings during the summer, this world-class science museum opens its doors completely free to the public from 5 PM to 8 PM. Great for escaping the heat in the AC!

  **Sister Cities Park Splash Pond (Center City):** Located right in Logan Square, this is a beautiful, toddler-friendly wading pond with direct views of the city. Perfect for little feet to splash around safely while you sit on the grass.

 **Spruce Street Harbor Park (Penn's Landing):** While games and food cost money, walking the boardwalk, sitting in the vibrant hanging hammocks under the trees, and enjoying the river breeze is completely free and beautiful for a family afternoon walk.

 

 🎬 Free & Cheap Summer Movie Mornings

   **PFS Bourse Theater (Old City):** The Philadelphia Film Society often hosts special family-friendly matinees and community screenings. It's a gorgeous, cool space to escape the midday city heat.

  **AMCs Kids Summer Movie Camp:** AMC Theatres offers highly discounted morning movie tickets for family favorites all summer long. Perfect for a rainy day or a high-heat afternoon! 

 


 🛼 Free Skating, Bowling & Bounce Zones

  **The Oval (Benjamin Franklin Parkway):** During the summer, this massive pop-up turns into a giant outdoor community space. They frequently bring in completely free public roller-skating days, free bounce houses or inflatable play zones for the kids, and giant lawn games like Connect Four and Jenga.

   **Rothman Orthopedics Rink (Dilworth Park):** Right outside City Hall, they transition the winter ice rink into a roller rink. They host specific community days and family sessions where entry to the park area, lawn games, and dancing to live DJ music is 100% free!

   **Kids Bowl Free Program (Philly Area Alleys):** Register your kids online before summer starts, and they will receive two completely FREE games of bowling every single day all summer long at participating local alleys.
